Krishna Aunty is online Indian restaurant, started by one of our very own Napp dads, Joe Mornoney.
Customers can order online for takeout or delivery on the company’s website, or on third party delivery apps (i.e., DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats). Moroney shares, "Our goal is to make it easy for people to eat delicious, nutritious, homestyle Indian food. We serve authentic homestyle dishes presented in a fast casual format, i.e. bowls and wraps that are easy to eat at home or on the go. We promise our customers a no compromise experience: delicious food, nutritious food, and convenient service." Krishna Aunty is currently based in B-more Kitchen, just off York Road.
Joe Moroney founded Krishna Aunty, after he moved to Baltimore from London last year. Joe was a lawyer in London and in his native Ireland but wanted to do something entrepreneurial upon moving to the United States.
Joe always loved food and through his wife, Divya, and her family who hail from southern India, he discovered a whole new side to Indian cuisine that he couldn’t find in Indian restaurants, even in a city as cosmopolitan as London. He loved their delicious Indian home cooking and figured many others would too, whether they were Indian ex-pats looking for a taste of home (like a meal cooked by their favorite aunty), or people unfamiliar with the cuisine but wanting to try something new at an affordable price point. And so, Krishna Aunty was born.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Joe loves spending time with Divya and his son and Napp Network client, Joseph, and watching sports. He also loves skiing and travelling, but between a new business, a new son and covid there hasn’t been much time for either of these lately
